Visiting a nail technician at a salon can result in a professional repair and finish. Though, if you prefer doing things yourself, some easy fixes for broken, split, or damaged nails can temporarily fix the issue.
Do note that these at-home repair tricks involve some amount of trial and error, so while a particular method might work, another may not. Also, depending on the number of chores you regularly do, these nail procedures will serve for a week.

2. Damaged nails? Fix it with clear acrylic powder, water, and a small brush.
- Begin with a clean and dry nail. Apply a base coat to strengthen the nail.
- Dip your brush into water, remove any excess, and dip the wet brush into the acrylic powder to create a small round ball.
- Apply the ball of acrylic right on top of your broken nail and quickly spread it around. Make sure the coat is and levelled. Avoid over-applying, else the acrylic will peel off. If the acrylic dries up before you could spread it out, add more water to soften it up a bit.
- Once dry, gently buff up the surface to create an even surface.
- Apply a base coat to strengthen the nail or a coat of colour to match the rest of your nails.
